JOB POSTING-SCRC YRS INSTRUCTOR

ST. CATHARINES ROWING CLUB YOUTH ROWING SCHOOL INSTRUCTOR
Session 1: July 2nd–25th Session 2: August 11th 29th
Reports To: Youth Rowing School Head Instructor

Five seasonal positions available -- Monday to Friday 7:45am–12:45pm
Extra hours as required for orientation, swim test and preparation for season end regatta
Pay scale: $10/hour

Responsibilities:
1. Maintain a safe environment at all times
2. Provide basic rowing instruction for youths, ages 10 - 15
3. Maintain on-water equipment and dock area so as to ensure that boats, blades and banana belts are ready to go before participants arrive
4. Offer other assistance as required

Qualifications:
• Active athlete with a St.Catharines Rowing Club Program
• NCCP Level 1 Technical coaching certification or equivalent
• Boating Operator’s Card

Preference will be given to those with:
• Coaching experience or experience working with kids
• Current basic first aid training
